Feeling well in Wellington

After we had returned our rental car successfully we went to have a look at the city. Wellington is indeed a lovely city and at some places it reminded us a bit of Vienna. But how windy it is here, unbelieveable!

On our first evening we had to refill our meat reserves after having almost only been eating vegetarian pasta over the last two weeks. Actually, we had burgers every day in Wellington, three times at Ekim Burger and once at BurgerFuel. 😀

The best Wellington has to offer might be the Te Papa Museum which we visited three times – there’s just too much to see!

The botanical garden which leaded us down from the hill to the city center is lovely to look at as well, so is the port of Wellington which might be the cleanest one we have ever seen.

And then we had to leave the North Island again. It was beautiful, we were happy to be there, especially comfortably in an own car. But now our calves are looking forward to cycling again. 😉
By the way, even the airport of Wellington displays Weta creations.
