Back to the start

And then the last 130 km in New Zealand had arrived, and we proceeded comfortably. The weather was brilliant, a perfect summer’s day. Therefore, we had to get two huge cones of ice cream in Culverden. Unfortunately, Alexandras cone broke after a few tastes and the whole thing went down to the ground. While Alexandras was in shock, Stefan was rocking with laughter. Nicely enough, she was allowed to get a new one. 🙂

The camp site in Waikari was kind of interesting. For only 14 Dollars we had a hot shower and a kitchen with a lot of utensils. However, we had to share it with lots of young Germans who are working nearby at the wineries. But the cool thing was that we could watcht the local Rugby training in the evening from our tent site and it seemed as if every living creature of the village was participating. 😀

For the first time since quite a while our tent was dry in the morning – yeah!
We proceeded to Amberley in leisure, where a special moment was awaiting us: We had cycled 10.000 km! 🙂

In Kaiapoi we stayed at a camp site and visited the library as well. And when we finally arrived in Christchurch, the first thing we had to do was to have a burger at BurgerFuel. 😉
