Our last days in Poland
Although the ride to Zamosc was not that far, it was a bit exhausting due to all the hills.
At least the weather was pretty fine and we could enjoy the sun and the warm wind.
In Zamosc we stayed at a comparably expensive hotel (for Austrian standards it was cheap as well) in the city center, so that we could have a look. Zamosc really is a beautiful historic town with well renovated houses and palaces of the Renaissance age – and Alexandra loves the Renaissance.
Unfortunately, in the evening the weather turned bad with heavy rain and cold wind, so we had to stay in.
The next day we left Zamosc towards Ukraine and as the weather was fine again, we decided to camp some kilometers prior to the border.
On our way to the border we could listen to a nice concert of frogs:
We could set up our tent on a meadow of a very friendly Polish family, they even asked us if we would like some coffee or tea. 🙂
It seems nearly impossible to camp wildly otherwise, as there is no spare meadow in this part of Poland, they grow vegetables everywhere.
The place was very nice and we had our first “dinner” with our camping stove – an instant soup. 😀
Unfortunately, the night was not as calm as the evening due to the mass of dogs barking nearby.
On the next morning we were kind of excited as we tried to leave Poland and enter Ukraine.
But that is another story… 🙂
